The Arts Festival, which is in its 28th year, always starts on the first saturday in August and ends on the second Sunday. The Festival hosts both well established artists and newcomers.

Pittenweem is a picturesque fishing village, with narrow wynds running down to the working harbour. Pittenweems unique atmosphere has attracted many artists over the years.

Frequently shown in paintings, Pittenweem presently has about thirty artists resident in the village and more in the surrounding chain of small villages set along this lovely coastline, known as the East Neuk of Fife.
