About KimIn 2004 Kim Thomson Design was launched with the help of the Arts Council, Princes Trust and Business Link.
Originally from Ayrshire, Scotland, Kim was born in 1981 and from a very young age she had the passion to make things. Kim created her first piece of silver jewellery at the age of 17 and she developed her interest by studying an honours degree in Applied Arts Jewellery Metalwork.
I love bold, colourful, statement jewellery.
Kim creates jewellery in an ever-expanding range of materials including industrial, recycled and precious materials.
Every piece is individually hand made in limited numbers and many pieces are 1 off.
All my jewellery is handmade ensuring no two pieces are identical. The clean lines and classic shapes create simple, beautiful, wearable jewellery that is guaranteed to turn heads.
Kim is always happy to discuss your individual requirements and work with you to create the perfect piece of jewellery for you or your loved one.
I take commissions allowing the customer to own something uniquely personal. I also run jewellery making workshops for those who would like to learn jewellery making skills and create their own unique pieces.
