Mixed Media Jewellery

                                                                                            













A great introduction to Jewellery Making! During this course students will learn to create Contemporary Jewellery from a diverse range of materials. Students will explore traditional techniques including Metal Work, WireWork and Beading as well as more alternative techniques working in Plastics, and other unusual materials. Each student will have the opportunity to create a range of samples and design and make at least 1 finished piece. This course is suitable for all levels of experience.


Resin & Plastics 
                                                                                                                                                                                              












This course focuses on the use of plastics in jewellery making. Students will learn to work with clear resin introducing coloured dyes and embedded objects, As well as Acrylic, Low Melting Plastics and Polymer ‘clay’ to create Contemporary Designs. Each student will have the opportunity to create a range of samples and design and make a finished piece. All basic materials will be provided. This course is suitable for all levels.



Wire Work



During this course students will learn to construct three-dimensional forms by knitting, wrapping, twisting and including objects within wire worked designs. Each student will have the opportunity to create a range of samples and design and make a finished piece. All basic materials will be provided. This course is suitable for all levels.


Metal Work



During this course students will learn the basics of Metal Working through a series of set projects. Each student will have the opportunity to create a Ring, Pendent and pair of Earrings. All basic materials and base metals and some sterling silver will be provided. Specialise materials are available at an extra cost. This course is suitable for all levels.


Beading




This course covers the basics of Beading including ‘Stranding’, ‘Knotting’, ‘Weaving’, and ‘WireWork’. Each student will have the opportunity to create a range of samples and design and make a finished piece. All basic materials will be provided. Specialise materials are available at an extra cost. This course is suitable for all levels.
